Our installation tools selection offers you the entire set of specialized interior tools needed to complete an interior installation, and also sells each tool separately if more is needed at another time. This set of tools includes hog-ring pliers and all the hog-rings and upholstery glue needed for a successful install. You will also find a few other interior tools that are not needed for completing an install, but may allow you to complete the install a lot faster and smoother. The avid do-it-yourselfer can easily give their vehicle’s interior a complete makeover from ground up with the tools provided here.
Hog-Rings are what holds the leather to the seat in most vehicles. They attach the listing wires on the back of the seat covers to the listing wires embedded in the foam. They can be described as a “glorifed staple” and require the use of special pliers to close them properly. Typically, one bag will be enough to complete a full installation. You can find more information over the tools used for installation of our interiors on our Leather Installation page.
We only recommend using DAP adhesive for our leather interiors that require glue. It is very user friendly, and in our experience holds better then the competition. This glue sprays in a web-shaped pattern that keeps the material from soaking in too much of the glue. This allows the “cure” time of this product to be much less and still have a great amount of strength. If your planning on re-upholstering your door inserts or headliner, this is a must have item.
This kit consists of one pair of Hog-Ring Pliers, enough Hog-Rings to install your interior with some left over, and a can of DAP upholstery adhesive. This kit is required for most interiors if you plan on installing your own interior for the first time.
